We'll be hosting a Plant Sale this spring on May 27, 2017. It will be on the farm during the usual market hours, Saturday, 9 - 11am. We've chosen late-May for the date so that it's safe to plant all of the warm-weather crops in your garden at that time. There's nothing tastier than just-picked tomatoes or strawberries or cucumbers. Even though we sell produce here, we also encourage everyone to grow at least something that they eat. Besides the taste factor, it's so satisfying to reap the harvest of something you tended with your own hands in your own soil. So worthwhile!
We're offering a curated selection of delicious varieties of vegetables for backyard gardens. We've chosen the most flavourful heirloom tomatoes, squashes, cucumbers, beans, etc. We'll have several types of herbs available, a few types of flowers, and it's the last call for strawberry plants.
In addition to heirloom tomatoes, we have a few types of blight-resistant tomatoes. If your tomato patch has been decimated by blight before, you'll appreciate having tomato plants that can resist this disease!
The plants have all be grown from seed here, and are mostly in 3" pots (such as tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, squashes) or in packs of 6 (such as beans, most herbs, lettuce, flowers). They're all grown organically, using the same methods that we use for our own crops. The sweet potatoes will be rooted in a smaller size of pot, and come in groups of 10.
Here's the list of what will be available: Plant Sale 2017. There will also be a few surprises at the sale that aren't listed here. If you'd like to pre-order your plants, so you can be sure to receive what you'd like, fill in this Seedling Order Form and email it to us.
See you at the Plant Sale!
